employU is seeking an Employment Specialist to create and implement individualized plans helping customers find meaningful employment within the disability services field. The role emphasizes supportive coaching, job placement, and ongoing follow-up to ensure job retention.

The position requires collaboration with Job Coaches, employers, and vocational rehabilitation partners to match job goals with suitable opportunities, while maintaining regular communication and documentation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; some college preferred.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities and/or in vocational rehabilitation is a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Organizes area MOU campaigns and develops new business relationships.
• Supervises and assists Job Coaches with job activities; monitors work hours.
• Identifies OJT opportunities matching customers' interests and travel requirements.
• Assists customers with applications and assessments; helps prepare for interviews.
• Maintains regular contact with customers and documents progress in the database.
• Supports customers in following up on applications and coordinating transportation.
• Ensures customers begin and retain employment with training and coaching.
• Coordinates with Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors regarding progress.
• Performs other tasks as directed.
