Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 2+ years in retail banking with cash handling and accounts.
• Strong commitment to our mission – creating economic opportunity for traditionally underserved communities.
• Preference for teamwork and collaboration.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Knowledge of credit products including ability to approve consumer loans up to lending authority.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Word and Excel.
• May travel to cover other branches and work evenings/weekends.
• English/Spanish fluency preferred.
• Willingness to work beyond normal hours.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and welcome visitors with friendly, professional service.
• Promote credit union products and services based on member needs.
• Open new membership accounts.
• Provide information in person, by phone, or email.
• Resolve inquiries and escalate issues as appropriate while liaising with staff.
• Perform account transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and other MSR duties.
• Refer mortgage loan requests to Mortgage Loan Assistants/Officers.
• Balance cash drawer and manage vault when needed.
• Assist with mailed-in, ATM, and night deposits and balancing.
• Promote lending products and provide financial counseling as needed.
• Support branch management with filing and record retention.
