Bank of Bird-in-Hand in Paradise, PA, is seeking a courteous Customer Service Representative to join our Community Banking team. You will greet walk-in customers, answer inquiries, process transactions, and provide accurate information about our deposit products and services.

The role emphasizes problem-solving, cross-functional collaboration, and building lasting relationships with customers while maintaining accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous banking experience is strongly preferred.
• 2+ years prior customer support experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong verbal communication skills are required.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer skills for data entry and documentation
• Experience with sales techniques or cross-selling/upselling is advantageous.
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately when applicable.
• Proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with excellent typing skills.
• Demonstrated analysis skills for assessing customer needs and providing tailored solutions.

Responsibilities

• Interact with walk-in customers, respond promptly and professionally to inquiries, and provide accurate information about bank products and services.
• Assist customers with opening deposit accounts and routine account-related requests (transfers, AFTs, stop payments, service charges).
• Support customers with ATM and debit card usage questions and checking/savings transactions.
• Contribute to problem-solving and research with other bank departments when necessary to offer effective solutions.
