Role Description

The Community Association Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Norfolk, VA. This position manages the day-to‑day operations of assigned associations, including overseeing maintenance and common‑area services, coordinating vendors and contracts, and monitoring compliance with governing documents. The manager prepares and tracks association budgets, reviews financial reports, and supports the board with planning, policies, and decision‑making. Daily responsibilities include responding to homeowner inquiries, attending board and community meetings, preparing meeting agendas and minutes, and ensuring timely communication of notices and updates. The role also involves conducting property inspections, identifying and following up on issues, and working collaboratively with internal staff and external partners to resolve problems efficiently.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated skills in community or property management, including coordination of maintenance, vendors, and contracts.
  • Strong organizational and administrative abilities, such as scheduling, documentation, and record‑keeping.
  • Financial management skills, including budgeting, reading financial statements, and tracking expenses.

  • Prior experience in HOA/condominium or property management is preferred; relevant certifications (e.g., CMCA, AMS) is a plus.
  • High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, real estate, or a related field is beneficial.
