Job summary

EEI in the United States seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support commissioning and building performance projects for healthcare facilities, data centers, laboratories, universities, and other complex environments. You will work with Project Managers, engineers, contractors, and owners to ensure systems perform as intended while delivering high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Building Sciences, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in commissioning, project management, building systems, controls, healthcare, laboratory, or high-reliability environments.
• Knowledge of MEP systems, BAS, control systems, and building performance fundamentals.
• Experience with schedule management, budgeting, client coordination, and documentation management.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and sequences of operation.
• Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Project Coordination: support planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution to deliver commissioning and building performance projects.
• Commissioning Support: assist with system startup, inspections, testing, troubleshooting, and performance verification.
• Technical Documentation: prepare and maintain commissioning reports, test procedures, and deficiency logs.
• Client & Team Collaboration: build relationships with owners, contractors, engineers, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Problem Solving & QA: identify and resolve issues to meet project requirements and quality standards.
• Project Management Support: assist with schedule management, meetings, proposals, change management, and risk identification.
