Job summary

United Rentals, the world’s largest equipment rental provider, seeks an Outside Sales Representative for the Power/HVAC division. You’ll be the voice for engineered power and climate control solutions, building relationships and driving rental and sales of silenced diesel generators, air-conditioning equipment, and more.

You’ll develop accounts, present turnkey services, and work with the technical team to size, quote and deliver customer solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 3 years of sales experience.
• Knowledge of construction or related equipment preferred; strong sales acumen and track record will be considered.
• Strong negotiation and selling skills, and excellent customer service.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel) and driving license.

Responsibilities

• Increase revenue for the branch through quality customer service and product knowledge.
• Establish new rental accounts via phone and in-person visits.
• Present a full range of turnkey services to customers.
• Collaborate with technical staff for site assessments and quotes.
• Educate customers on equipment and provide demonstrations/training.
• Follow up on invoices and payments with customers.
• Report sales activity using Salesforce and other tools.
