Job summary

Micro Center seeks a Service Experience Advisor to be the first contact for customers at the Knowledge Bar. This entry-level role blends basic technical understanding with strong customer service to guide service intake and solutions.

Ideal candidates have sales or hospitality/retail background and can explain services clearly while delivering a high-touch experience. Performance-based pay and commissions offer strong earning potential for consistent service excellence.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• No prior technical experience required.
• Preference given to candidates with customer-facing commissioned sales, hospitality, and/or retail experience.
• Demonstrated ability to build rapport and explain services clearly.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the trusted point of contact for walk-in or scheduled customers at the Knowledge Bar.
• Listen actively to customer concerns and guide them through service solutions.
• Recommend value-added services such as PriorityCare+, Data Backup, and ESET in a consultative manner.
• Clearly communicate estimated pricing, timelines, and expectations at check-in.
• Assist in basic troubleshooting and route work orders to service queues.
• Process service and point-of-sale transactions accurately and completely.
• Maintain good productivity and attachment rates.
• Stay informed of current promotions and opportunities.
• Provide timely, professional updates on service status.
• Obtain required certifications as directed by management.
