Job summary

QXO, a leading distributor and installer of building products, seeks an experienced commercial roofing technical sales professional to quote projects, provide technical guidance, and support customers throughout the order-to-delivery process. The role emphasizes knowledge of roofing systems, pricing, and coordination with sales and operations.

The ideal candidate has 5 years of commercial roofing sales experience, strong product knowledge, and proficiency with Job Tracking and BI tools.

• Extensive product knowledge and technical system experience in commercial roofing
• Detail-oriented with time management skills to meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Deliver consistent and comprehensive project quotations using market dynamics
• Provide technical assistance to customers leveraging roofing industry knowledge
• Communicate benefits and become a trusted knowledge source for customers
• Break down orders by material correlation and shipping points
• Negotiate material costs for project orders with the sales team
• Coordinate with Supply Chain and Branch Managers to allocate trucks to warehouse
• Create project delivery schedules with the sales team and customers

What you’ll do:

• Deliver consistent and comprehensive project quotations utilizing experience of the market dynamics
• Rely on the knowledge and experience of the commercial roofing industry to provide technical assistance to the customers
• Subject matter expertof commercial roofing andfor systems such as Mincron, Logic Track, Salesforce, and Beacon Pro Plus to effectively communicate benefits and become a trusted source of knowledge to the customers
• Understand how to breakdown customer orders based on material correlation and shipping points
• Communicate with sales team to negotiate material costs for project orders prior to placing orders
• Utilize Supply Chain,Branch Managers, and upcoming project orders to effectively fill out material trucks into warehouse
• Create project schedules with the sales team and customers to clearly communicate all project deliveries

What you’ll bring:

• 5 years of experience in commercial roofing technical sales
• High School diploma required, bachelor’s degree preferred
• Working knowledge of Job Tracking
• Extensive product knowledge and technical system experience working in the commercial roofing industry
• Detail-oriented with time management skills to meet deadlines
• Proficient experience utilizing business intelligence systems (Mincron, Salesforce, Logic Track, and Beacon Pro +)
• Ability to collaborate across other functions in the decision-making process
• Maintain a valid driver’s license
