Job summary

Beacon Roofing Supply, Inc is seeking an experienced roofing sales specialist in the New York area to deliver project quotations and provide technical support to commercial roofing customers. You will act as a subject matter expert on roofing systems and pricing, coordinating with sales and supply chain to optimize orders.

The role requires deep product knowledge, proactive customer service, and a willingness to travel locally to engage with clients.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in commercial roofing technical sales.
• High School diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Valid driver's license.
• Proficiency in Mincron, Salesforce, Logic Track, and Beacon Pro Plus; working knowledge of job tracking system.
• Extensive product knowledge and technical expertise in the commercial roofing industry.
• Strong customer service skills, keen attention to detail, and dedication to meeting deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across different functions.
• Willingness to travel locally to engage with customers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver consistent and thorough project quotations by understanding market dynamics.
• Provide technical support to customers in the commercial roofing industry.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in commercial roofing and systems including Mincron, Logic Track, Salesforce, and Beacon Pro Plus.
• Break down customer orders based on material correlation and shipping points.
• Collaborate with sales team to negotiate material costs for project orders.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain, Branch Managers, and upcoming project orders to optimize material truck loading into the warehouse.
• Develop project schedules in collaboration with the sales team and customers, ensuring clear communication of all delivery details.
