Job summary

QXO in Columbia, SC is seeking a seasoned Commercial Roofing Technical Sales professional to quote projects and support customers with technical insights. You will rely on your roofing knowledge to provide accurate, timely quotations and to communicate benefits of systems like Mincron and Salesforce to clients.

Ideal candidates have at least 5 years in roofing sales, a high school diploma (bachelor preferred), and strong collaboration with sales, logistics, and branch leadership to drive project

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in commercial roofing technical sales.
• High School diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Proficient in Job Tracking and BI systems such as Mincron, Salesforce, Logic Track, and Beacon Pro Plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver consistent and comprehensive project quotations utilizing market knowledge.
• Provide technical assistance to customers based on roofing industry experience.
• Act as SME for commercial roofing and communicate benefits of systems like Mincron, Logic Track, Salesforce, and Beacon Pro Plus.
• Break down customer orders by material correlation and shipping points.
• Negotiate material costs with sales team before placing orders.
• Coordinate material truck assignments with Supply Chain and Branch Managers for project orders.
• Create project schedules with sales team and customers to communicate all deliveries.

What you'll do:

• Deliver consistent and comprehensive project quotations utilizing experience of the market dynamics
• Rely on the knowledge and experience of the commercial roofing industry to provide technical assistance to the customers
• Subject matter expert of commercial roofing and for systems such as Mincron, Logic Track, Salesforce, and Beacon Pro Plus to effectively communicate benefits and become a trusted source of knowledge to the customers
• Understand how to breakdown customer orders based on material correlation and shipping points
• Communicate with sales team to negotiate material costs for project orders prior to placing orders
• Utilize Supply Chain, Branch Managers, and upcoming project orders to effectively fill out material trucks into warehouse
• Create project schedules with the sales team and customers to clearly communicate all project deliveries

What you'll bring:

• 5 years of experience in commercial roofing technical sales
• High School diploma required, bachelor’s degree preferred
• Working knowledge of Job Tracking
• Extensive product knowledge and technical system experience working in the commercial roofing industry
• Detail-oriented with time management skills to meet deadlines
• Proficient experience utilizing business intelligence systems (Mincron, Salesforce, Logic Track, and Beacon Pro +)
• Ability to collaborate across other functions in the decision-making process
• Maintain a valid driver's license
