Job summary

Vaco Recruiter Services is seeking a detail-driven Commercial Quotations Lead for a well-established Indianapolis-based distributor of commercial plumbing and mechanical products. This on-site role focuses on building accurate material quotes for commercial and multifamily projects, supporting a small quotations team, and ensuring bids are priced right and delivered on time.

Qualifications

• At least 2–3 years of commercial plumbing quoting or estimating experience.
• Knowledge of fixtures and specifications for commercial plumbing is a plus.
• Ability to read plans and perform material take-offs with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Review architectural plans and specs to build detailed material take-offs.
• Prepare quotes from small requests to large projects with accurate pricing and lead times.
• Consider tariffs and commodity costs to develop margin-conscious quotes.
• Use ERP/quoting systems, including AI-assisted tools, to accelerate turnaround and catch errors.
• Collaborate with the Manager of Commercial Quotations, outside sales, purchasing, and vendors to finalize quotes.
