Job summary

SouthState Bank, National Association in Pasadena, TX, seeks a Loan Assistant II to direct the timely processing and fulfillment of commercial loans. You will work with the deal team to manage simple to semi-complex loans and client relationships, ensuring accuracy and consistency in loan documents to minimize bank risk.

The role requires strong attention to deadlines, ability to organize documentation, coordinate closings, monitor post-closing items, and provide excellent client service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in banking, finance or lending is an asset.
• 3-4 years of experience in commercial lending documentation.
• 3-4 years of Loan Assistant I or comparable experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in tracking and management of the loan pipeline to meet deadlines.
• Coordinate closings with lenders, attorneys, title agencies and clients.
• Order title searches, UCC searches, appraisals and flood certifications as needed.
• Maintain a tickler system for post-closing documentation and monitor compliance.
