Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree or coursework in banking/finance/lending is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist in tracking and managing the loan pipeline, maturities, uninsured reports, and past-due reports to ensure timely processing and deadlines.
• Prioritize tasks to meet processing goals and customer expectations.
• Provide backup support to other Loan Assistants for PTO and absences.
• Maintain knowledge of state/federal lending regulations and bank policies for compliance.
• Collect and organize borrower documentation (income verification, credit reports, IDs).
• Input data into loan processing systems accurately and efficiently.
• Order title searches, UCC searches, appraisals, and flood certifications as needed.
• Coordinate closings with lenders, attorneys, insurers and clients.
• Initiate disbursement of closing funds and issue loan proceeds via checks/wires.
• Review closed loans for documentation completeness and accurate booking.
• Communicate with settlement agents, recorders, and title agencies for post-closing docs.
