SouthState Bank, N.A. in Dallas, TX is seeking a Loan Assistant II to support the commercial loan team. You will help manage the loan pipeline, ensure accurate documentation, coordinate closings, and assist with post-closing activities.

This role emphasizes accuracy, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with lenders, attorneys, and clients. Ideal candidates have 3–4 years in commercial lending documentation or loan processing, and a solid understanding of loan products and procedures.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree or coursework in banking, finance or lending is an asset.
• 3-4 years of experience in commercial lending documentation.
• 3-4 years of Loan Assistant I or comparable experience.

Mansioni

• Assist in tracking and management of the loan pipeline, loan maturities, uninsured reports, and past dues reports, ensuring timely processing and adherence to deadlines.
• Prioritize tasks effectively to meet processing goals and customer expectations.
• Provide back-up support to other Loan Assistants to cover PTO requests, and absences.
• Remain knowledgeable of all State and Federal lending and documentation regulations as well as Bank policies and guidelines ensuring compliance.
• Collect and organize all necessary documentation from borrowers, such as income verification, credit reports, and identification.
• Input data into loan processing systems accurately and efficiently.
• Order title searches, UCC searches, appraisals and flood certifications as needed.
• Coordinate closings with lenders, attorneys, insurance agents and clients.
• Initiate disbursement of closing funds and issues loan proceeds via checks and/or wires.
• Review closed and funded loans for document completion, ensure that loans are booked in a timely and accurate manner.
• Contact settlement agents, register of deeds, and title insurance agencies to obtain post-purchase documentation and maintain post-closing tickler reports.
