Job summary

SouthState Bank Corporation is seeking a Loan Assistant II to support the timely processing and fulfillment of commercial loans at our Pasadena, TX location. You will help manage simple to semi-complex loans and maintain accurate documentation to minimize risk.

You will handle data entry, document collection, and coordination with lenders, attorneys, and clients while following regulatory requirements. Prior loan processing experience is highly valued, and strong communication with stakeholders

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in banking/finance or related coursework is a plus.
• 3–4 years in commercial lending documentation or loan assistant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Track and manage loan pipeline, maturities, uninsured reports, and past-dues reports.
• Prioritize tasks to meet processing goals and customer expectations.
• Provide back-up support to other Loan Assistants for PTO and absences.
• Ensure compliance with state/federal lending regs and bank policies.
• Coordinate closings with lenders, attorneys, and clients.
