Job summary

Selective Insurance invites ambitious students to join the Ignite Internship in Short Hills, NJ or Hartford, CT. The 11-week, full-time program provides hands-on experience across commercial lines products including Workers’ Compensation, BOP, and Commercial Auto, with on‑the‑job assignments and leadership exposure.

You will work within Agile teams to analyze products, write requirements, and perform UAT, building essential business and technical skills for a career in insurance technology.

Qualifications

• Must be a current college student to qualify.
• Demonstrate an interest in learning about the insurance industry.
• Experience with Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint is preferred.
• College credit can be earned depending on your institution’s requirements.

Responsibilities

• Analyze Selective’s current Commercial products.
• Write requirements for future enhancements.
• Perform User Acceptance Testing of completed work.
• Assist product group’s Agile team
