Job summary

United Bank is seeking a Lending Assistant in Shallotte, NC to support Commercial Lending clients and prospects. You will prepare loan summaries for Loan Committees, assist with loan documentation, and help credit analysts with financial spreadsheets.

The role involves performing administrative tasks, maintaining credit files, and coordinating with outside counsel when needed. Strong customer service, multitasking, and MS Office skills are essential to succeed in this fast-paced banking

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum two years of banking experience preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
Ability to demonstrate strong customer service, multitasking and flexibility.

Responsibilities

Perform a wide variety of administrative tasks for the Market President and/or Commercial Lender, including data gathering, credit files, title reports/lien searches/flood certificates, and UCC filings.
Prepare and review loan documentation for accuracy and compliance using Commercial Connect; coordinate with outside counsel if needed.
Uphold high levels of client service; handle requests including loan advances, pay-outs, transfers, and issues resolution.
Analyze data to support client lending activities.
Assist with loan disbursements and market meetings as needed.
Enter and maintain client data in Commercial Connect and Sales Management systems; clear loan exceptions and financial reporting as needed.
