Job summary

Northern Bank is seeking a Commercial Lending Assistant to provide ongoing customer service and documentation support as a liaison to Loan Officers on assigned commercial accounts. The role includes gathering information, coordinating loan documentation, and maintaining commercial loan files to ensure smooth workflow across departments.

This position supports daily operations, tracks financial statements and reports, and assists with environmental reports and appraisals as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and experience in working in a corporate environment preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word and banking software.
• Good communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Verifies evidence of insurance and requests updated financial information.
• May manage portfolio risk by highlighting maturities, overdrafts, and delinquencies.
• Verifies and processes customer advances on lines of credit and liaises with attorneys for closing issues.
• Requests/retrieves missing legal documentation from borrowers and attorneys.
• Assists customers with commercial banking needs including advances and new accounts.
