Job summary

Apellis Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Sr. Manager, Commercial Learning & Development – Operations to build the infrastructure and standards that enable efficient, compliant, and scalable learning across the Biogen portfolio integration.

You will partner across Sales, HR, Market Access, and other stakeholders to drive governance and analytics. The role requires exceptional organizational, systems, and project-management skills, with hands-on support for training delivery and vendor management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 7+ years in project management, training operations, or commercial excellence in Life Sciences.
• Experience implementing and governing learning systems in a commercial org.
• Ability to establish scalable infrastructure and standards in biotech/pharma.

Responsibilities

• Own operations and governance for Commercial Learning & Development; set standards and processes.
• Create, optimize, and maintain training class schedules and logistics across therapeutic areas.
• Support LMS setup and manage systems/tools (LMS, Veeva, certification tracking) for compliance and efficiency.
• Standardize surveys; lead reporting, dashboards, and analytics to inform decisions.
• Develop calendars, trackers, and cross-functional alignment for training events.
• Assist Training Managers with scheduling and field organization for training delivery.
• Provide hands-on support for training delivery to ensure continuity.
• Coordinate between admin and cross-functional teams; ensure clear communications.
