Job summary

Graton Resort & Casino is hiring a Kitchen Steward responsible for deep cleaning and maintaining large, heavy‑duty kitchen equipment and areas. You will assist the culinary team by ensuring a sanitary and operational work environment and by following all health and safety standards.

The role requires use of specialized cleaning products and tools, adherence to cleaning calendars, and proactive reporting of equipment issues to supervision. A California Food Handlers Certificate is required.

Qualifications

• Must possess California Food Handlers Certificate.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Working knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Maintain deep cleanliness of large, heavy-duty kitchen equipment and areas (ovens, grills, fryers, hoods, walk-ins).
• Support culinary team by keeping back-of-house areas sanitary and operational.
• Follow safety protocols and MSDS, and use cleaning chemicals and tools properly.
• Perform scheduled deep-cleaning tasks per calendars and maintenance plans.
• Report equipment malfunctions to supervision and adhere to health standards.
