Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage an assigned book, ensure retention, and support new business. The role includes day-to-day admin, customer service, and renewal activities.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in account management or 5+ years in insurance, with active P&C licensing (CIC preferred) and strong MS Office skills. Hybrid/remote options are offered with policy-driven onsite needs.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of account management experience or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Active property & casualty licensing; CIC preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High School Diploma (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring account retention and supporting new business.
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities, resolving complex issues, and ensuring no errors or omissions.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team and monitor service levels.
• Handle policy administration, billing, claims processing, and coverage analysis.
• Renewals: research, submissions, negotiate coverages, present proposals.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms for data accuracy.
