Insurance Office of America seeks an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage a book of business, retain clients, and support new business. You will coordinate day-to-day admin, service requests, billing, and renewals.

The ideal candidate has 3-5 years in account management or 5+ years in insurance, active P&C license, strong communication, and MS Office proficiency. Hybrid work with some remote options is offered.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Active property & casualty licensing is required; CIC or equivalent preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Technical competence: maintain industry knowledge and expertise.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle client service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor data.
• Monitor activity and ensure timely completion.
• Communicate workload status with the account team.
• Deliver proactive service and respond quickly to service requests.
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
• Seek best practices to improve team performance.
