Job summary

Insurance Office of America seeks an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to retain and grow a designated book of business. You will coordinate day-to-day admin, service requests, billing, and renewals, ensuring accuracy and timely responses.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in account management (or 5+ years in insurance), active P&C license, and strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills. Hybrid role with some remote work and occasional on-site client meetings.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in account management, or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Active property & casualty licensing required; CIC preferred.
• Strong communication, analytical and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring retention and supporting new business.
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities.
• Resolve complex issues and ensure no errors or omissions.
• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals; negotiate coverages and proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Communicate workload status and issues with the team.
• Deliver excellent service and proactively anticipate needs.
