Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager for Commercial Lines to manage a dedicated book of business and support new client onboarding. The role blends client service, policy administration, renewals, and collaboration within a team to maintain high service standards.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of account management experience (or 5+ years in insurance), active P&C licensing, and strong communication skills. A CIC or similar designation is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of account management experience or 5+ years in insurance
• Active property & casualty licensing is required
• CIC or equivalent professional designation preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring retention and supporting new business
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities
• Resolve complex issues with accuracy and timeliness
• Renewals: manage expirations, submissions, and proposals
• Monitor accounts receivable and collect outstanding balances
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms
• Communicate workload status and issues to the account team
• Deliver excellent service and anticipate client needs
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures
• Lead and develop the account management team
