Job summary

Trane Technologies in the United States seeks an HVAC Service Technician to perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and startup of commercial HVAC systems at customer sites. Communicate with customers, project managers, and vendors to ensure safety and quality while following blueprints and engineering specs.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, 2–5+ years of commercial HVAC experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; EPA certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• 2–5+ years of experience in commercial HVAC.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; comfortable using handheld devices.
• EPA Certification preferred (e.g. HVAC Journeyman, Boiler Operator, Gas Installer).

Responsibilities

• End-to-end testing, startup, commissioning and servicing on assigned projects.
• Serve as direct customer contact to ensure satisfaction and diagnose/repair equipment.
• Coordinate with team leader and customer to understand on-site requirements and gather materials.
• Use blueprints/engineering specs and tools to diagnose and repair units.
• Maintain safety standards and secure company assets.
• Be flexible to overtime and occasional overnight travel.
