Job summary

All Hours Mechanical in Cleveland, Ohio is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Dispatcher to coordinate service for our commercial HVAC team on-site. The role requires dispatching expertise and offers a schedule of 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

with potential overtime. Pay ranges from $25 to $35 per hour, based on experience. The successful candidate will manage daily technician assignments, track job progress, and ensure accurate information flows.

Responsibilities

• Schedule service and maintenance appointments with commercial customers.
• Coordinate daily assignments for 10–15 technicians based on availability, location, skills, and job priority.
• Receive service calls and gather accurate information about the customer, equipment, and issue.
• Track technician check-ins, check-outs, job progress, and availability throughout the day.
• Adjust schedules as urgent calls, delays, and other changes arise.
• Keep customers informed about appointment times, delays, and service status.
• Review technician job notes for completeness and follow up on missing or unclear information.
• Maintain accurate customer information, schedules, and work order notes in BuildOps.
• Identify scheduling gaps and help reduce unnecessary travel between jobs.
• Coordinate with the Office Manager and service leadership when priorities conflict or issues need additional support.
• Handle occasional evening and weekend service calls, typically totaling a couple of hours of overtime per week.

About the Position

All Hours Mechanical is hiring an experienced dispatcher to help coordinate our commercial HVAC service team in Cleveland. Dispatch experience is required. HVAC experience is helpful, but we’re willing to teach the industry to someone who brings strong dispatching skills and a willingness to learn.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

• Previous dispatching experience; HVAC experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong computer, typing, and data entry skills, with the ability to learn BuildOps.
• Clear, professional communication with customers, technicians, and coworkers.
• The ability to manage multiple schedules and changing priorities on the fly.
• Sound judgment about what you can resolve and when to involve management.
• Consistent follow-through and attention to detail.
• A calm, practical approach when the day doesn’t go as planned.
• Willingness to receive constructive feedback, take responsibility for mistakes, and adjust your approach as you learn.
• A respectful, dependable attitude and commitment to helping the team succeed.

Experience with BuildOps, ServiceTitan, or another field service platform is a plus.

What Success Looks Like

During your first 90 days, you’ll focus on learning our dispatch software and service process, building solid working relationships with our technicians, and providing clear, timely communication to customers. As you become comfortable in the role, you’ll take greater ownership of the daily schedule and help keep work moving efficiently.

Schedule and Pay

• Full-time, on-site in Cleveland, Ohio.
• Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m., including a one-hour unpaid lunch.
• Occasional evening and weekend calls, typically a couple of hours per week.
• $25–$35 per hour, based on experience, with overtime pay.
