Job summary

BMO Financial Group in San Francisco seeks an experienced credit professional to analyze information and support lending decisions for a Commercial banking loan portfolio.

You will negotiate loan structures, assess repayment capacity, and sign off on approvals within authority while monitoring risk, complying with policies, and growing client relationships through proactive service and cross‑selling opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Business Administration, Finance and Accounting preferred.
• 5–7 years of relevant credit or lending experience in banking or corporate environments.
• Experience with credit risk assessment and loan structuring.
• Deep knowledge and technical proficiency from education and business experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze client credit information to inform lending decisions and recommendations.
• Negotiate loan structures and terms aligned with client needs and bank risk appetite.
• Sign off on new, renewal and extension loans within delegated authority.
• Monitor portfolio to identify deteriorating credit conditions and regulatory compliance.
• Evaluate portfolio performance and recommend capital allocation strategies.
• Lead proposal development and present to capture new business and expand relationships.
• Develop business opportunities and build client relationships within the portfolio.
• Provide specialized consulting, analytical and technical support to stakeholders.
