Job summary

BMO U.S. is seeking a seasoned credit professional to analyze credit information and support lending decisions for an assigned Commercial banking portfolio. The role involves negotiating loan structures, signing off on loans, and monitoring credit quality to ensure compliance with policies and risk appetite.

Lead business development efforts, collaborate with Relationship Managers, and optimize returns while managing risk. Strong financial modeling and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years of credit or lending experience in corporate or banking.
• Bachelor’s degree required; finance/accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze credit information to support lending decisions for a Commercial banking loan portfolio.
• Negotiate loan structures and terms aligned with client needs and risk appetite.
• Signs off on new, renewal and extension loans within delegated authority.
• Monitor portfolio for deteriorating credit conditions and regulatory compliance.
• Develop proposals and deliver presentations to capture new business and expand client relationships.
