Job summary

WestStar is seeking an entry-level Credit Analyst I in El Paso, TX, to assist the commercial lending team with underwriting and documentation. This role offers exposure to financial data analysis and credit presentations while supporting senior analysts and maintaining credit files.

The ideal candidate holds a finance-related degree, demonstrates strong analytical and communication skills, and is prepared to travel to client meetings as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics (preferred), or a related field.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
• Strong writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to challenge themselves to obtain new knowledge, ideas, and skills.
• Requires valid driver’s license; ability to travel to client meetings.

Responsibilities

• Gather and organize financial data and loan application documents.
• Assist with financial statement analysis and spreads.
• Prepare basic credit presentations and renewals.
• Conduct preliminary research on borrowers and market conditions.
• Update and maintain loan documentation and credit files within nCino.
• Price basic loan ROEs using internal bank pricing model.
• Support senior analysts with various administrative tasks.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.
