Job summary

HITT Contracting is seeking candidates for its Commercial Construction Project Engineer role through the HITT Futures Program. The program provides immersive, on-site training with a structured development plan to fast-track toward an assistant project manager or superintendent.

The role emphasizes hands-on learning, mentorship, and exposure to daily construction operations, safety practices, and project coordination.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; degree preferred.
• Military experience or accredited degree in a relevant field preferred.
• Must be willing to commute to a jobsite within a 30–40 mile radius.

Responsibilities

• Shadow project teams on-site for 12-month Futures Program training.
• Attend performance reviews and training modules to track development.
• Set up and maintain project records, logs, and daily reports.
• Assist with safety programs, meetings, and site inspections.
• Support budgeting, scheduling, and client management tasks as needed.
