Job summary

Atlantic Constructors, Inc. in Virginia is seeking a Project Engineer to support two or more commercial construction projects.

You will collaborate with Project Managers and Project Manager Assistants to ensure teams have the information and resources needed to succeed. The role emphasizes tracking, scheduling, submittals, change orders, and close-out documentation while coordinating with field crews, vendors, and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and 2+ years in a commercial construction environment.
• Able to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize team performance.
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills are essential to this role.
• Multi-task with attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Adhere to all company policy and procedures; available to work assigned schedules.

Responsibilities

• Maintain project tracking reports to monitor productivity.
• Create and maintain internal project schedules.
• Prepare submittals for construction projects based on drawings, specs, and vendor information.
• Coordinate with architect/engineer to receive approved submittals.
• Assist Project Manager and other engineers with change‑order documentation.
• Complete required project close-out documents per contract.
• Distribute contract documents to subcontractors and vendors.
• Schedule construction meetings with the team, subcontractors, and clients.
• Assist PMs to achieve quality, schedule, budget, and safety goals.
• Track productivity, costs, quality control, and progress updates.
