Job summary

Atlantic Constructors is seeking a skilled MEP Project Engineer to lead two or more commercial construction projects. You’ll work closely with Project Managers, PMA’s, field crews, customers, vendors and subcontractors to ensure information and resources are available for success.

You will manage project tracking, schedules, submittals, and coordination with architects and engineers, while supporting change orders and close-out processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with 2+ years in commercial construction.
• Strong management techniques to maximize team performance.
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to multi-task with minimal supervision and follow instructions.
• Must adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Occasional travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain project tracking reports to monitor productivity and labor utilization.
• Create and maintain internal project schedules.
• Prepare complete, accurate and timely submittals based on drawings, specs, and vendor information.
• Track and coordinate approved submittals with architect/engineer and Project Team.
• Assist PMs by preparing all necessary backup relating to change requests.
• Complete all required project close-out documents per contract.
• Update and distribute contract documents to subcontractors, including drawings, specs, and general conditions.
• Schedule all required construction meetings with the ACI Team, subcontractors, vendors and customers.
• Attend pre-bid, project and closeout meetings.
• Solicit subcontractors and suppliers for proposals before deadlines.
• Prepare correspondence with client, architect, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, etc.
• Submit building permit applications and follow-up on reviews.
• Assist PM to achieve quality, schedule, budget and safety.
• Document productivity, costs, quality, and progress; notify of changes.
