Job summary

Atlantic Constructors, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to partner with PMs and PMAs to lead two or more commercial construction projects.

You will interact daily with field crews, customers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure teams have the information and resources they need. The ideal candidate has a engineering degree, 2+ years in commercial construction, strong communication, multitasking ability, and a track record of applying effective management techniques.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and 2+ years in a commercial construction environment.
• Strong management techniques to maximize team performance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to multitask with minimal supervision and detail-oriented.
• Willingness to follow company policy and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Maintain project tracking reports to monitor productivity and labor utilization.
• Create and maintain internal project schedules.
• Prepare submittals based on drawings, specifications, and vendor information.
• Coordinate with architect/engineer and project team on submittals.
• Assist PMs by preparing backups for change requests.
• Manage project close-out documents per contract.
• Distribute contract documents to subcontractors and vendors.
• Schedule construction meetings with the team, subs, vendors and customers.
• Attend pre-bid, project and closeout meetings.
• Solicit subcontractors and suppliers for proposals.
• Prepare correspondence with client, architect, engineers, subs, suppliers.
• Submit building permit applications and follow review progress.
• Support PM to achieve quality, schedule, budget, safety.
• Utilize schedules and documents management to track performance.
• Notify management of issues affecting quality, budget, progress and safety.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
