The Building Engineer will maintain Telestar Court, Hamaker Court, and Merrifield Ave properties with a hands-on, cost-efficient approach while ensuring safety and tenant satisfaction.

Responsibilities include testing systems, coordinating contractors, and supporting the Manager to control expenditures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• 2-4 years of previous well-rounded Commercial maintenance experience.
• Valid drivers' license.

Responsibilities

• Test and replace parts and components in plumbing, electrical, and heating systems.
• Identify, recommend, and implement preventative and on-going changes to preserve or upgrade equipment.
• Evaluate and maintain facility and grounds, meeting operational standards, and schedule tests.
• Handle tenant service requests within the timetable prescribed by the Manager.
• Assist Manager in controlling maintenance expenditures.
• Coordinate contractor work and inspect completed contractor work.
• Maintain shop, boiler room, trash room, storage areas in a clean, neat and organized way.
• Perform cleaning functions as required by the Manager and report conditions needing maintenance or cleaning.
