Bernstein Management Corporation (BMC) is seeking a Residential Maintenance Supervisor for Park Place and Paramount properties in NW DC. You will oversee plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and general preventive maintenance with a focus on safety and efficiency.

The role includes supervising staff, reducing vacancy turnaround times, managing service requests, and enforcing the company’s preventive maintenance program while reporting daily to the Property Manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Four or more years of maintenance experience.
• Ability to read and follow safety procedures.
• Experience with plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC preferred.
• Willingness to work after hours during emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain curb appeal and general maintenance of properties.
• Supervise staff responsible for refurbishment of vacancies.
• Prioritize, assign, and submit service requests to rental office.
• Implement the company's Preventive Maintenance Program.
• Control maintenance expenditures.
• Respond to inspection reports and safety hazards.
• Keep shops and storage areas neat and organized.
• Be available for after hours and weekends in emergencies or as backup to on-call technician.
• Report to the Property Manager daily concerning completed or pending work.
