Job summary

Stream Realty Partners in Washington, DC area is seeking a Building Engineer to keep building systems in good order and provide concierge-style service to tenants. You will perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include inspecting HVAC, fire alarms, plumbing, and assisting with contract work. Candidates should have 3 years in building operations and EPA Universal Certification, with strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma required.
• EPA Universal Certification required within 90 days of employment.
• City or government licenses or permits may be required.

Responsibilities

• Interpret instructions and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding.
• Operate and use manual and power-driven tools.
• Provide concierge-style service to tenants and internal/external partners.
• Perform preventative maintenance and corrective repair of buildings and systems.
• Ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and safety directives.
• Inspect fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to verify operation.
• Perform contract work (landscaping, snow removal, HVAC, plumbing, cleaning).
