Job summary

First Interstate Bank in Colorado is seeking a Commercial Banking Assistant to serve as the primary daily contact between commercial banking clients and the Bank. You will assist Commercial Relationship Managers with servicing clients across large and complex loan portfolios, focusing on client satisfaction and relationship expansion.

You will handle day-to-day client interactions, process transactions, and work with external partners to obtain necessary loan information.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; minimum 3+ years banking experience.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day client calls, transactions, and issue resolution.
• Respond to client inquiries, perform account maintenance and research resolutions.
• Process client transactions within delegated authority; escalate as needed.
• Assist in obtaining information for loan applications and coordinate with outside professionals.
• Run daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports; review for accuracy and compliance.
• Develop and maintain procedures and training materials.
• Support Relationship Manager with complex reviews and portfolio management.
• Reconcile client accounts, enter data, monitor policy exceptions.
