Job summary

First Interstate Properties, Ltd. is seeking a Commercial Banking Representative I to act as the primary contact for commercial clients with basic loan portfolios and assist Relationship Managers.

You will manage client inquiries, process transactions, and support loan documentation in a team-driven environment. Location options include Cedar Rapids, IA, North Liberty, IA or Sioux Falls, SD, with standard bank hours and compliance expectations.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of credit products, bank systems and commercial lending.
• Knowledge of applicable federal regulations and bank policies.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Problem solving abilities are essential.
• Proficiency with personal computers and related software packages.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day client calls, transactions, and problem resolution.
• Process client transactions within delegated authority; escalate when needed.
• Prepare or review client documents for RM meetings; ensure signatures and compliance.
• Assist in collecting information for loan applications and liaise with vendors.
• Specialize in loan documentation and ensure accuracy of loan files.
• Submit complete documentation for loan approvals and related records.
• Provide packages to Loan Servicing for boarding and funding.
• Ensure timely uploading and imaging of documents in systems.
• Create ticklers in Credit Track per loan requirements and assist RM.
• Support RMs with validation of entities and real estate collateral.
• Assist with treasury and deposit products in coordination with other teams.
• Generate and review reports; update systems as needed.
• Reconcile client accounts and monitor policy exceptions.
