Job summary

First Interstate Bank is seeking a Commercial Banking Representative I to serve as a primary contact for commercial banking clients with basic loan portfolios. You will assist Relationship Managers with servicing clients, prepare loan documents, and coordinate with lenders to ensure accurate, compliant files.

The role involves handling transactions, client inquiries, and supporting the loan process from application to closing, in a dynamic banking environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years banking experience or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of credit products, bank systems and commercial lending.
• General understanding of applicable federal regulations, credit policy and bank policies.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Problem solving skills.
• Proficiency with personal computers and related software packages.

Responsibilities

• Handles day-to-day client calls, client transactions, and problem resolution.
• Executes client transactions within delegated authority and flags requests outside norms to the Relationship Manager.
• Prepares/reviews client account documents for RM meetings with focus on signatures, accuracy and compliance.
• Assists in obtaining documentation to submit loan applications, including financial statements and tax returns.
• Specializes in loan documentation and maintains accuracy in loan files.
• Submits complete documentation for loan approval and coordinates with Lending teams.
• Maintains regulatory and policy compliance across applications and accounts.
• Supports RMs with documentation validation and treasury/deposit product integration.
