Job summary

First Interstate Bank is seeking a Commercial Banking Representative I to serve as a primary contact for commercial clients with basic loan portfolios, assisting Relationship Managers with servicing and client support.

Based at our Hamilton, MT or Missoula Downtown, MT locations, you will handle day-to-day client inquiries, prepare loan documents, and help with loan applications while ensuring compliance. This role offers opportunities in a supportive team and growth in commercial banking.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of credit products and banking policies.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to handle client inquiries and paperwork accurately.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for commercial clients and assist Relationship Managers.
• Process client transactions, account maintenance, and problem resolution.
• Prepare and review loan documents and applications with regulators in mind.
• Coordinate with outside vendors for loan documentation (attorneys, title companies).
• Generate routine reports and monitor for accuracy and compliance.
• Support treasury, deposits, and loan documentation processes with internal teams.
