Job summary

Medline Industries, LP is seeking a business analytics professional to dissect, analyze, and deliver solutions that improve commercial performance. You will develop scenario data models for large datasets and present findings to sales management, planning reports and financial analyses.

Responsibilities include building scenario-based models for pricing, costs, margin and compensation, improving reporting processes, and contributing to AI-enabled forecasting and pricing initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Mathematics or Applied Statistics.
• 2+ years of experience in sales analysis.
• Able to apply standard financial, accounting and business problem-solving skills to multi-variable problems.
• Advanced Excel skills; proficient with data tools such as Alteryx, SQL, Power Query, Tableau/PowerBI or Python.
• Strong ability to translate complex data logic into clear narratives for analysts and executives.
• Detail-oriented with proven ability to manage large datasets and competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Build scenario-based models across commercial levers — including pricing, base cost, margin, and compensation — to quantify financial impact and inform planning.
• Support the design and continuous improvement of reporting processes and business definitions to improve data accuracy and timeliness.
• Contribute to commercial AI and analytics initiatives — including evaluation, piloting, and adoption of AI-enabled tools to enhance forecasting, pricing, and reporting workflows.
• Track and report modeled-vs-actual performance throughout the fiscal year for leadership visibility.
• Conduct year-over-year and run-rate analyses across the commercial portfolio and translate results into recommendations for sales leadership.
• Develop moderately complex reports and queries for sales management.
• Measure trends, efficiencies and effectiveness of sales and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with Sales, IS and Finance to maintain reporting requirements and ensure data accuracy.
