Job summary

Monks seeks a Sr Manager, Commerce Strategy to lead daily commerce relationships and growth for key client businesses. You will turn retailer and advertising data into strategic decisions and partner with internal teams to drive year-over-year growth across Amazon ecosystems and other retail networks.

You will own growth plans, lead reviews with senior clients, and mentor junior staff while navigating a fast-changing commerce landscape with AI-enabled workflows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in commerce, retail media, or business management with results.
• 3+ years hands-on with Amazon Vendor Central and/or Seller Central.
• Experience in promotion planning, pricing, inventory, and retailer negotiations.
• Analytical mindset with ability to translate data into recommendations.
• Ability to present to senior leaders and build cross-functional relationships.
• Self-starter who handles multiple projects with high standards.
• Comfort in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and AI-enabled work.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day commerce strategy and growth plans for client accounts.
• Design ad strategy with activation teams across Amazon formats.
• Link advertising to retail fundamentals: pricing, promos, inventory, supply chain.
• Lead client calls, manage requests, and share performance insights.
• Develop monthly/quarterly reviews tying ads to business outcomes.
• Analyze data from Amazon platforms to identify growth opportunities.
• Forecast sales and inventory; flag revenue or delivery risks early.
• Support negotiations with Amazon and retail partners; resolve escalations.
• Champion client goals across internal teams and foster collaboration.
• Use AI tools for research, analysis, and reporting; mentor juniors.
