Madison Reed is seeking a Hair Color Bar Assistant in Chicago to support Licensed Colorists and Shift Lead while learning services and pursuing promotion to a Licensed Colorist. You will help guests with color consultations, care products, and salon services in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting.

The role emphasizes teamwork, learning behind-the-chair applications, and a pathway for growth, with pay that includes base hourly, commissions, and tips. Availability at peak times is required.

Qualifications

• Active cosmetology license in the applicable state.
• Entry level customer service or retail experience, beauty preferred.
• Strong communication and people skills in a fast-paced retail or salon.
• Comfortable operating POS systems.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate and develop teamwork to provide an outstanding guest experience.
• Assist in finishing services, shampooing, conditioning, styling, blowouts and color-related add-ons.
• Support sales goals across retail, services, and memberships.
• Maintain cleanliness, merchandising, inventory, and asset security in the Hair Color Bar.
• Follow Madison Reed systems, policies, processes and procedures.
• Help drive revenue by promoting memberships, subscriptions and home hair care.
