Madison Reed is seeking a Hair Color Bar Assistant in Chicago to support Licensed Colorists and Shift Lead, ensuring guest satisfaction from arrival to departure. You will learn services, build guest relationships, and train toward promotion to Licensed Colorist while staying organized and delivering a premium experience.

Compensation ranges from $27.25 to $28.25 per hour plus commissions and tips, with actual pay affected by performance, tenure, and time behind the chair.

Qualifications

• Active cosmo licence in the applying state.
• Entry-level customer service or retail experience preferred in beauty/salon.
• Strong communication and people skills for a fast-paced setting.
• Comfort using point-of-sale systems and handling transactions.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed colorists and lead staff to ensure a seamless guest experience.
• Support shampooing, conditioning, styling, and add-on services per guest request.
• Help drive sales through retail, memberships, and service add-ons.
• Maintain cleanliness, merchandising, and inventory in the Hair Color Bar.
• Follow Madison Reed systems, policies, and procedures to uphold brand standards.
