Job summary

Madison Reed Hair Color Bar is seeking a Hair Color Bar Assistant who supports Licensed Colorists and the Shift Lead to deliver an outstanding guest experience from arrival to departure. You’ll learn the services, assist in color and retail tasks, and help guests choose the best color while maintaining a clean, organized environment.

This role offers base hourly pay, commissions and tips with potential earnings for this location ranging from $20 - $21 per hour, dependent on performance, tenure

Qualifications

• Active cosmetology license in the state you apply.
• Entry level customer service or retail sales experience preferred.
• Effective communication and people skills in a fast-paced retail or salon.
• Comfortable operating point of sale systems.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate and develop teamwork to provide a guest experience aligned with company values.
• Assist in finishing services and shampooing, conditioning, styling, and other chair side tasks.
• Support achieving monthly sales goals including retail, services, and memberships.
• Ensure the Hair Color Bar meets cleanliness, merchandising, inventory, and asset security standards.
• Adhere to Madison Reed systems, policies, processes and procedures.
• Help drive revenue through add-ons, memberships, subscriptions, and home care products.
• Show willingness to learn and progress toward becoming a Licensed Colorist.
• Participate in Colorist-to-Colorist training to grow within Madison Reed.
