Job summary

Madison Reed is seeking a Hair Color Bar Assistant to support Licensed Colorists and the Shift Lead, ensuring a smooth guest experience from arrival to departure. You will learn services, assist with consultations, and promote products while maintaining a clean, organized environment.

This role offers base hourly pay, commissions, and tips, with potential earnings at $26.50–$27.50 per hour for the Somerville location. Training for promotion to Licensed Colorist is available.

Qualifications

• Active cosmetology license in the state of application.
• Entry level customer service or retail experience preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving in fast-paced retail.
• Comfortable with POS systems.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed colorists and ensure guest experience from arrival to departure.
• Perform shampooing, conditioning and behind-the-chair support as needed.
• Contribute to meeting monthly sales goals and KPIs.
• Maintain cleanliness, merchandising, inventory and store standards.
• Drive revenue through memberships and product sales.
• Engage with guests and learn for promotion to Licensed Colorist.
