Madison Reed Hair Color Bar is seeking a Hair Color Bar Assistant, Licensed Cosmetologist, in Somerville, MA. The role supports Licensed Colorists and Shift Lead to deliver a seamless guest experience.

You will learn services, assist with color consultations, and work toward promotion to a Licensed Colorist as you grow with the team. compensation for this location includes base hourly pay, commissions, and tips, with potential earnings in the $26.50–$27.50 per hour range.

Qualifications

• Active cosmetology license in the state you are applying.
• Entry-level customer service or retail experience preferred.
• Effective communication and people skills in a fast-paced retail or salon.
• Fluency in English and comfort operating POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate teamwork to provide a guest experience aligned with our values.
• Assist in finishing services, shampooing, conditioning, styling and other chair-side tasks.
• Contribute to achieving monthly sales goals including retail, services, memberships.
• Ensure Hair Color Bar meets cleanliness, merchandising, inventory and asset security standards.
• Adhere to Madison Reed systems, policies, and procedures.
• Drive Hair Color Bar revenue through increasing the average service ticket and memberships.
• Support Colorist-to-Colorist training to advance within Madison Reed.
