Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is hiring a Technical Training Specialist to deliver and coach technical training for repair technicians, ensuring knowledge and safety in vehicle repairs. The role partners with regional leadership to raise technical capabilities across markets.

The ideal candidate has experience in delivering training, strong communication skills, and ability to travel up to 30%–70% as needed to support repair centers nationwide.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High level of independently planning and organizing work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to communicate, motivate and cooperate with all levels of staff.
• Knowledge of computer applications, including Internet, Google platform, and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Delivers technical training and maintains training documentation; follows expense policies and maintains assets/tools.
• Visits repair centers to assess technician knowledge and capabilities.
• Coaches technicians on applying technical skills and improving repair efficiencies.
• Monitors and coaches for full QC compliance.
• Assesses repair center capabilities and provides feedback on tools/equipment needs.
• Assists in developing technician trainees at fixed training centers or with trainees.
• Develops and improves technical training clinics for network-wide consistency.
• Keeps current on latest repair process advancements.
• Performs program assessments, training and coaching.
