Job summary

The Boyd Group in Eagle Lake, FL is seeking an Auto Body Technician to expertly assess and repair vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles while upholding speed, quality and customer excellence as a Brand Ambassador.

You will plan repairs, prepare estimates, and use cutting guns, plasma cutters and jacks to complete tasks. A high school diploma or equivalent and a technical training path or apprenticeship are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.
• Ability to read job orders and work with little supervision.
• Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Plans the repair work and prepares cost estimates for customers.
• Uses tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers to repair sections of a vehicle.
• Hammers out dents, dimples, and other minor body damage; applies filler resins when needed.
• Realigns car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Removes damaged sections and replaces with parts.
• Replaces or repairs glass and interior parts as needed.
• Welds and attaches parts into place and prepares and repaints vehicles.
• Completes work orders within labor time guidelines.
• Inspects vehicles after repair to ensure quality.
