Job summary

The Boyd Group is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver exceptional customer experiences through meticulous vehicle repairs, restoring cars to pre-accident condition with speed and quality. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, align chassis, and ensure work meets labor guidelines while maintaining safety standards.

Responsibilities include planning repairs, using metalworking tools, welding, painting, and inspecting completed work.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Tech school training or 3-year auto body apprenticeship required.
Ability to read job orders with minimal supervision.
Team player capable of working with others in a busy shop.
Strong understanding of repair methods for vehicle bodies.
Proficient with common auto body tools.

Responsibilities

Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles to restore pre-accident condition.
Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
Use cutting guns, plasma cutters, jacks, hammers, and pliers to repair sections.
Hammer out dents, apply filler resins when needed.
Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
Replace damaged sections and glass, and repair interior parts.
Weld and attach parts; repaint to factory or equivalent finish.
Complete work orders within labor guidelines and inspect repaired vehicles.
Perform other duties as assigned.
